Tearout dubstep samples are built around aggressive mid-range bass growls, synthesized wobbles, highly-compressed drum oneshots and distorted mechanical textures designed for maximum impact on large sound systems. High-intensity offshoots of the existing UK dubstep scence rose to popularity the late 2000s and early 2010s with infnluences ranging from the raw aggression of modern drum and bass and metal to the epic festival energy of mainstream EDM and electro house.
