Today, we’re thrilled to announce our partnership with Toolroom Academy for the launch of their Production Certificate program.
This blog post mentions Splice Studio, which is no longer active. Learn more about the shutdown here.
About Toolroom Academy
With the aim to break down the wall between rising artists and record labels, Toolroom Academy was initially a suite of online production tutorials from prominent House and Techno artists. Soon after its launch in late 2015, the Academy rapidly expanded to encompass global ‘live’ educational seminars, a DJ school, and innovative mentorship programs in London, Los Angeles, and New York.
Now in 2018, the next step for Toolroom Academy is the launch of a brand new course – the Production Certificate. This three month program combines ‘live’ online lessons alongside a challenging series of projects with the goal of elevating students’ production talents to the next level. Students are continuously assessed with weekly A&R feedback, and the course culminates to their completed track being submitted to the label. In addition, students have the opportunity to collaborate on remix projects and learn about marketing tactics to launch their careers.
The course is taught native to Ableton, meaning you’ll only need a copy of the DAW, a computer, and some headphones to participate.
How is Splice involved?
All students will receive three months of sample credits to enhance their productions, and students will collaborate on and share tracks through Splice Studio and Community.
