Splice & Pioneer DJ Partner to Create First-ever Cloud Connected Hardware Sampler
We’re excited to announce that we’ve partnered with Pioneer DJ to connect the Splice Sounds library to the TORAIZ SP-16 professional production sampler.
This partnership brings together cloud software and music production hardware in a first-of-its kind integration, combining the power and portability of a standalone hardware sampler with the expansive possibilities enabled by both modern software and web connectivity.
Gone are the days of buying sample packs and importing samples one by one into a sampler. With this integration, you can now browse sounds anytime, just as easily as you browse for movies on Netflix, build and save custom drum racks in the cloud, and seamlessly import them into your sampler to make beats in the studio or on stage.
The Cadillac of samplers, powered by Splice Sounds
Why the TORAIZ SP-16? Because it’s the Cadillac–or, more like Tesla–of samplers. It boasts a 7-inch full-color LCD touch display, 16 large tactile rubber pads, and the same analog filters as Dave Smith’s iconic Prophet-6 synthesizer to add drive, cut off, and resonance to sculpt your sound. And now it also connects to the Splice Sounds library of over 1 million samples with just a click of a button.
Here’s how it works
Build and save custom sample kits, and program 32-step sequences on the web and on mobile devices using Beatmaker, our online sequencer. Download your creations as SCENE files to your laptop or a USB drive, connect the TORAIZ SP-16 via USB and transfer the SCENE files across. Then you can use the hardware’s features and FX to manipulate your sounds further.
We’re committed to bringing modern workflows to modern musicians, and now, musicians can create fearlessly — and seamlessly — in the studio, on stage, and even on-the-go.
