All this month, we’ve been asking several artists pushing the boundaries of music to share curated sounds by Black creators on Splice.

Supah Mario:

Supah Mario’s productions have been heard across the world since his breakout placement with Drake’s “Ice Melts.” Since, the list of heavy-hitter collaborations has only continued to grow: Lil Uzi Vert, 2 Chainz, Young Thug, Big K.R.I.T., and more Drake.

Yung Baby Tate

Yung Baby Tate is a versatile rapper / singer representing Atlanta. You’ve probably heard her on the instant Dreamville classic “Don’t Hit Me Right Now.” The only child of singer Dionne Farris, Tate most recently released her EP After The Rain in partnership with Issa Rae’s record label, Raedio.

NOVA Wav

NOVA Wav is the GRAMMY-winning production duo comprised of Denisia “Blu June” Andrews and Brittany “Chi” Coney. The two have produced for Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Rihanna, Ariana Grande, Kehlani, and countless others.

OG Parker

OG Parker is an award-winning, multi-platinum producer who represents Atlanta. His extensive list of production credits includes Chris Brown, Gucci Mane, Carnage, Migos, Young Thug, PARTYNEXTDOORS, Torey Lanez, and many others.

Maaly Raw

Maaly Raw gained prominence as the architect behind some of fellow Philadelphia native Lil Uzi Vert’s most popular songs, including “Money Longer” and “Do What I Want.” He’s also a frequent collaborator of Playboi Carti and has produced for Meek Mill, French Montana, and A$AP Ferg.

Section 8

Section 8’s distinctive production style embraces crisp hi-hats and heavy basses. His production credits also include prominent names such as K Camp, Mal & Quill, and Dirty Tay.

JetsonMade

JetsonMade is a two-time GRAMMY-nominated producer who is a pioneer of the growing rap scene in the Carolinas. He’s made a name for himself working with the likes of DaBaby, Lil Keed, 21 Savage, and more.

LilJujuMadeDaBeat

LilJuMadeDaBeat got his first placement in 2013 with Gucci Mane. Four years later, he met Megan Thee Stallion and they began to work closely together to cultivate a sound that would be heard around the world.

Traumatone

Traumatone is a producer who excels in sound design and drum programming. He produced a pair of records for Bino Rideaux on his Def Jam mixtape debut OUTSIDE and Kevin Gates’ singles “Dreka” and “Always Be My Gangsta.”

LDGBeats

LDGBeats has worked with prominent Boston-based artists including the likes of Cousin Stizz, Michael Christmas, Vintage Lee, and Leano. He also co-produced Aminé’s “REEL IT IN,” which was certified platinum by the RIAA and has amassed over 300 million streams worldwide.

JAHMED

Trev Rich is a GRAMMY-nominated songwriter whose highlights include co-writing and featuring on “Elevate” from the Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse soundtrack and G-Eazy’s “Still Be Friends (feat. Tory Lanez & Tyga).” Since then, he has collaborated with the likes of Mike WiLL Made-It, Schoolboy Q, and Savannah Re.

Chi Chi

Being raised in a Nigerian household listening to polyrhythmic Afrobeat music helped him develop a keen ear. Producing viral hits such as “On Me,” “Throat Baby,” “Get Money,” and “Social Distancing,” Chi Chi is ushering in a new, ground-breaking sound into the city of Atlanta.

Kitty Ca$h has made a name for herself as one of the most prolific cultural curators of her generation. From releasing original projects alongside the likes of Solange, SZA, and DJ Khaled to overtaking the fashion scene, Kitty represents a new breed of creators unbound by any specific medium.

Shae Jacobs

The Nigerian British-born songwriter, producer, and artist Shae Jacobs is signed to Prescription Songs in Los Angeles, and has worked with some of the biggest names in music including Ty Dolla $ign, The Chainsmokers, Teyana Taylor, and Jason Derulo.

Dinuzzo

Dinuzzo found his sound by studying hip hop records from the late ’90s and early 2000s. Throughout his five years seriously immersing himself in the music industry, he has landed placements on records for Trippie Redd, Future, Kid Cudi, Jaden Smith, and many others.

YNG Josh

YNG Josh is an LA-based producer and engineer originally from Houston, Texas. His credits to date include “obvious” for Ariana Grande, “Keyz 2 the City 2” for Nipsey Hussle, and “Adam Sandler,” “I Ain’t Lying,” and “Billboard” for YNW Melly.

Ye Ali

Ye Ali is a Chicago-born artist, producer, and songwriter raised in Indiana. He has gone on to produce for artists such as Jack Harlow, Chris Brown, Joyner Lucas, CHIKA, Juicy J, and Kehlani.

Hollywood Cole embodies hip hop’s sampling tradition, grabbing influences from an expansive variety of music. He has landed songs with Drake, Chase N. Cashe, Quentin Miller, and Dom Kennedy, to name a few.

Mentioned by Billboard as an artist to watch, Allyn is a California-based singer-songwriter who has collaborated with artists such as Dom Kennedy, Mozzy, Cozz, and many others.

Austin Millz is a producer hailing from Harlem who blurs the lines between hip hop, R&B, and dance influences. He has released official remixes for Louis The Child, Grouplove, and MICHELLE, and received enthusiastic support from the likes of Diplo and Zane Lowe.

Charles “BLVK Samurai” Burchell is a music producer, rapper, writer, multi-instrumentalist, and educator from New Orleans, Louisiana. A musician well versed in jazz and hip hop, Burchell has performed and recorded with artists such as Talib Kweli, Jason Moran, and Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah.

Braxton Cook is a jazz wunderkid who effortlessly navigates the sonic worlds of jazz, soul, and R&B. While he’s best known as a saxophonist, Cook also captivates audiences with his soulful vocals and performances on other instruments including the guitar and keys.
