At Splice, we care deeply about giving you the tools to use our platform conveniently, and giving you control over your username identity.
That’s why we’ve rolled out some new features that make it easier to sign up, log in, and control how you show up on Splice.
Use your Google account to sign up and log in
The first new update is that we’ve added ‘Continue with Google’ to the signup and login options, so you can use your existing Google credentials to log in to Splice or sign up for the first time. If you use Google sign-in to access an account that’s already registered to a Google email, your accounts will be merged seamlessly and you’ll be able to log in using either option—though the Google option is more seamless.
You can now change your Splice username
We’ve also made it possible to change your Splice username, up to once every 30 days. This lets you be more (or less) anonymous, or change your username to reflect a new band name or moniker, for example. Changes take effect across the Splice platform but are non-destructive, meaning your Public Collections will stay active, but attributed to your latest username. Both new features have been rolled out on all of our platforms: web, Splice Desktop, Splice Mobile, and CoSo. We hope the updates make your experience more convenient, secure, and personal.
