Tayla Parx (Ariana Grande, Panic! At The Disco) on writing anthems and collaboration

Singer, songwriter, and boundary-breaker Tayla Parx reimagines genre, feminism, popular music, and the very definition of being an artist.

From the start of her career, she has excelled at wearing many different hats, from being a behind-the-scenes collaborator to an on-stage performer. Tayla Parx’s sharp musical instincts made her the first female songwriter to have three simultaneous Top 10 songs on Billboard—Ariana Grande’s “7 Rings” and “thank u, next,” alongside Panic! At The Disco’s “High Hopes”—since 2014. She’s also a prolific artist in her own right, with collaborations with the likes of Khalid, Florida Georgia Line, and Joey Bada$$.

To celebrate the release of her sample pack, Tayla Parx recently sat down with us to discuss her journey, how she approaches collaboration, and more. Check out the video above to get an intimate inside look into her artistry.
