Ronny J (Denzel Curry, Eminem) shares his production tips

“I used to want to be an architect before producing and doing music,” Ronny J tells us.

“Landscape videos on YouTube – that’s like inspiration all the time, you know. I just think about how it would feel to create if I were in that house or in that structure, and then I just take my mind there.”

In addition to his interest in architecture, Ronny J recently sat down with us to also discuss how he got started in music, his perspective on originality, and the kinds of sounds that are contained in his new sample pack. Despite his impressive discography — with tracks created alongside the likes of Juice WRLD, Denzel Curry, Eminem, and others — he notes throughout the conversation that he’s always learning and stays humble. “It’s not about clothes or jewelry; that’s just extra,” he says. “Really just being able to provide for my family, but at a faster rate – that’s what motivates me.” Check out the video above to hear what else he has to say to aspiring producers.
