Field recordings can be an invaluable source of inspiration in music production.
They can be used to add an organic touch to a track or sonically communicate the vibe and emotions one feels in a certain location. Focusing on the latter, sample creation team Capsun ProAudio — including Capsun, Yvng Face, and Matt Borzoni, alongside producers Julez Jadon and SVRN — ventured to Mallorca, one of Spain’s Balearic Islands in the Mediterranean. Armed with Zoom recorders, they went on explorations over the course of one week and created a sample pack full of sounds that were captured and composed exclusively on-site.
