Alissia is a world-renowned producer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and DJ.
A tastemaker across various spheres, she has worked alongside legends including the likes of Bruno Mars, Mary J. Blige, Anderson .Paak, Nile Rodgers, Calvin Harris, and Chloe Bailey, among countless others. Alissia was also recently nominated as a GRAMMY Producer of the Year, recognized for her work alongside Jamila Woods, BJ The Chicago Kid, Rae Khalil, and LION BABE. She has also contributed to NxWorries, Anderson .Paak, and Knxwledge’s Why Lawd? and Kaytranada’s Timeless, which have been nominated for Best Progressive R&B Album and Best Dance/Electronic Album respectively.
Above, Alissia sat down with us on the Splice YouTube channel to try her hand at producing some music in Studio One for the first time. Watch her track a smooth bassline and chord progression on the keys and use the Splice x Studio One Integration to find sounds that complement her material.
“I could play this at boogie nights,” Alissia says joyfully as she listens back to the groove she created. “And we made this so quick. It’s a super easy workflow going through the sounds too, and the fact that it’s already in the DAW in Studio One makes everything so smooth. It’s super inspiring… I need to start cooking more in Studio One.”
