Bringing the Traditional Brazilian Bossa Nova Sound to NYC

In Brazil, the traditional sounds of Bossa Nova and Samba are still very much alive and form the backbone of the rich Brazilian music culture. But when Eduardo Belo moved to NYC to learn Jazz from the best players in the world, he realized the city was missing beautiful authentic sounds from his home country of Brazil. Eduardo has spent his career teaching and playing a fusion of Jazz, Bossa Nova and Samba which made this pack Bossa Breeze a wonderful melting pot of these timeless genres.

This interview gives a sneak peak into Eduardo's process of making this pack and some wonderful life lessons on how to pursue being an artist in a tough competitive city like New York.

This pack was composed by artist, producer and musician Eduardo Belo (bass) from Brazil now living in New York City. He has shared the stage with Michel Camilo, Romero Lubambo, Lee Konitz and many others. On this pack he is joined by a band of world class musicians: Dennis Bulhões (drums), Leandro Pellegrino (guitar) and Alejandro Aviles (sax/flute). Recorded at The Bunker Studio by award winning engineer Aaron Nevezie.
