A Closer Look at Replicants: Dark Synthwave with Tori Letzler

The year is 2175 and a faint neon glow flickers across an apocalyptic industrial cityscape casting eerie shadows through a dense smog. Humans, robots, droids, and humanoids once shared these desert city streets with hovercrafts racing above and mazes of futuristic underground markets below. After a violent war between clones and artificial intelligence, all that is left are scraps and shreds of a once booming metropolis with only the toughest resourceful survivors still living in the darkness. This is the backdrop to Replicants: Dark Synthwave.

The Finer Details

This ambitious pack was designed by the minds of Los Angeles based film composer, vocalist, and electronic producer Tori Letzler and composer Steven Richard Davis at their incredible home studios. With cinematic building blocks inspired by iconic soundtracks for sci-fi film classics like Blade Runner (Vangelis) and Tron (Wendy Carlos), Replicants takes on a digital, dark, powerful, and gritty persona. Each sound was carefully constructed using an array of analog synthesizers and outboard analog hardware. The pack is filled with dozens of crisp synth arps, booming sub basses, encompassing drones, and driving synth pulses that transport you to a cyberpunk paradise. This is your go to pack for any sci-fi film score or synthwave, EDM, pop, or drum and bass track that needs a sprinkle of Daft Punk meets Vangelis.
