Artist's Background
Zopelar is a São Paulo-based producer, musician, and DJ at the heart of Brazil’s electronic underground. As a co-founder of the ODD collective, he’s helped shape the city’s vibrant club culture while pushing a sound that fuses Brazilian rhythms with house, funk, jazz, and synth-driven textures. Known for projects like My Girlfriend and collaborations with global labels like Apron and Tartelet, Zopelar brings a deep musicality to everything he touches—whether in the studio, onstage, or as a producer.
Step into a vibrant realm of sound with Universo Sound, the debut sample pack from one of Brazil’s most forward-thinking producers. Designed to ignite dance floors and unlock new creative directions, this collection is packed with lush keys, expressive piano progressions, punchy low-end grooves, soulful synth leads, swirling arpeggios, and crisp, character-rich drum textures. A standout feature of the pack is its deep collection of one-of-a-kind drum samples—crafted, shaped, and recorded in Zopelar’s personal studio using his trusted array of analog gear, samplers, and drum machines. Bridging gritty retro machine funk with modern club energy, Universo is a toolkit for producers seeking warmth, movement, and a distinctive sonic fingerprint.
The Sound of This Pack
For those seeking the old-school bounce of late-80’s–mid-00’s Baile Funk when 808s reigned supreme, Early House Electro Baile will have you in for a treat. You can hear the traces of Miami Bass and Afrika Bambaata in Zopelar’s rhythms and sound palette, from 12-bit kicks to FM synths. Zopelar’s pack offers us retro machine funk at its finest, with a lushness that sets it apart from the rest of the São Paulo Global Residency packs.
