Dive into INSTRUMENT with free guitar presets.
Last week, we launched Splice INSTRUMENT—a new plugin that brings expressive, playable instruments directly into your DAW. As part of that, Free Drops are premium INSTRUMENT presets made free for a limited time. Grab these presets during the drop window and they’re yours to keep forever—no take backs, no strings attached.
This month, we’re dropping a collection of some of our favorite new presets to get you started—including guitars, atmospheric synths, and a toy piano.
Think of Free Drops as a rotating showcase of what you can do with INSTRUMENT. Try these premium instruments for free, build your library, and create something special along the way.
Get free indie baritone guitar presets
It’s now your chance to get your hands on our newest guitar presets from the Indie Baritone Guitar pack, a collection of woozy, ’80s-tinged electric baritone textures. Inspired by alt-pop pioneers like Mk.gee, these guitars have been processed through tape, VHS artifacts, and deep, moody reverbs to give them a hazy, nostalgic edge. They’re perfect for alt-pop, ambient, or anything that lives in the space between analog warmth and digital decay, and with Free Drops, you get two of these guitars for free.
Short Hot Muted Plucks
Short Hot Muted Plucks features a saturated electric baritone guitar, shaped with spring reverb and slapback delay. It’s perfect for punchy indie, emo, and Paramore-style riffs.
Long Slowcore Sustains
Long Slowcore Sustains features dreamy sustained guitar tones inspired by ’90s slowcore and shoegaze, reimagined through the 2020s lo-fi revival. Tape saturation, shimmering reverb, and grainy effects come together for a nostalgic feel. This preset is ideal for atmospheric builds, ambient beds, or moments that need space to breathe.
How to access Free Drops
All you need to do to claim your plucks and sustains is to download INSTRUMENT, register for free, and then look for the ‘Drop’ icon in the top-right corner of the plugin. You’ll find the presets in the dropdown alongside some other Free Drops we think you’ll love—all free to download this month.
Free Drops are refreshed regularly, so keep your eyes peeled because the key to your next project might just be free.
