Our remix contest for $1,000 and a release on EMPIRE with Farrah Fawx

Farrah Fawx is an artist who blends raw lyricism with UK club textures and Southern edge, creating bold, high-energy music made for main stages and underground dance floors alike.

With over four million streams, press from PAPER Magazine, VIBE, and Apple Music, and collaborations with Duckwrth, Aluna, and Rochelle Jordan, Farrah is carving out a bold new lane at the intersection of dance, rap, and fearless self-expression.

In July, we collaborated with Farrah to host a one-of-a-kind remix contest for her new release, “Slippery.”

Participants grabbed stems from the Splice Discord and had until July 25th, 2025 to craft a club edit of “Slippery.” From there, they had three days to vote for three other tracks, and in early August, Farrah herself joined us on a livestream to review the top 11 remixes—as well as a selection of three wild-card picks—and select the winners:

The first-place winner was set to receive $1,000 USD and have their remix released on EMPIRE. The second-place winner would receive $500 USD, and the third-place winner would receive $250 USD.

While Farrah ultimately selected these winners, after reviewing so many incredible submissions together on stream, the mission evolved—we’re going to need a full remix EP. With that, keep an eye out for the “Slippery” remix EP, currently in the works and powered by creators like you.

Farrah Fawx put out the call for club-ready remixes, and the Splice community delivered. Stay tuned for more artist-led remix competitions, beat battles, and community challenges in 2026 and beyond.
