Introducing: Asheville, Together - A Charitable Pack Series

Created in partnership with Arts Asheville, Asheville, Together is a charitable pack series to aid the Hurricane Helene recovery efforts in Asheville and the surrounding West North Carolina area. The Splice team recorded two days of sessions with local musicians at Asheville's Citizen Vinyl with a focus on Appalachian Bluegrass and Folk music. We also collected field recordings from the surrounding area to work into these packs. These raw files were then given to Galen Tipton + Holly Waxwing, and Charlie Van Kirk to use as source material for their own flipped packs. The samples in this series capture the sounds and styles unique to the the city's vibrant character, collaborative nature, and strong musical influence. Garnering Asheville's essence is largely credited to the players on these sessions, which included Kevin Kehrberg on bass and guitar; Bennett Sullivan on guitar, banjo, mandocello, and lap steel; and Jeff Sipe on drums.

As part of the Asheville, Together relief and recovery effort, contributions will be made from the proceeds of the following packs: Asheville Neofolk, Asheville Blugrass, Asheville resampled, and For Asheville, a galen tipton & Holly Waxwing moment.
