Our Interview w/ Tebra

Your sound blends deep, organic textures with hypnotic rhythms; how would you describe your musical identity, and how does this pack reflect that?
This pack is a reflection of my journey as an artist. It blends a wide range of influences from different musical genres that I personally love and connect with. My sound is rooted in deep, organic textures and hypnotic rhythms, and this pack captures that essence while also exploring the broader musical landscape that has shaped me over the years.

What inspired the selection of sounds in Signature Sounds Vol. 1? Were there specific instruments or cultural influences you wanted to highlight?
Signature Sounds Vol. 1 is oriented around Organic House, but interpreted in my own way and with my personal touch. The rhythm is somewhat different from what you typically hear in mainstream Organic House—more nuanced and tailored to my style. The melodies and effects were crafted with great attention to detail, and they reflect the sound I’ve been shaping over time. This pack is about capturing that identity and offering something both familiar and unique.

Can you walk us through your creative process? Do you start with melody, rhythm, or a feeling when designing sounds? How does this compare to working on a song instead of a sample pack?
I don't really follow a fixed creative process—if anything, I try to avoid routine. Every track usually starts from a different element. Sometimes it's drums or percussion, other times it's a melodic idea or a vocal sequence that sets the mood and becomes the core of the track. There are also moments when I spend hours just sculpting the perfect kick and bass relationship. It was the same with this sample pack. I approached each sound individually, trying to give it enough attention to make it special and interesting—first and foremost for myself, and then for anyone else who connects with my music or finds inspiration in it.

Many producers look to your music for emotional depth and atmosphere. What tips do you have for using this pack to achieve that vibe in their own productions?
I really appreciate that listeners and fellow producers connect with my music on that emotional and atmospheric level. I always try to make each track tell its own story—a kind of journey, often with unexpected twists in the arrangement to keep things engaging. If I were to give any advice, it would be to encourage producers to experiment more with the layers of sound they’re working with. Whether it's the bass—which I personally dedicate a lot of attention to—or atmospheric textures and vocal elements, those subtle layers can really bring depth and emotion into a track. Use the sounds in this pack as a starting point to explore your own emotional storytelling.

How do you envision producers around the world using these sounds? What kind of genres or moods do you hope they’ll explore with them?
I hope producers around the world use this pack as a source of inspiration rather than just a copy/paste solution. My wish is that they take the sequences and individual sounds and transform them into something original and unique—something that reflects their own identity and creativity. That, for me, is the best way to truly make use of a pack like this.

Are Splice sounds royalty-free?

Yes, every single sample on Splice is 100% royalty free, meaning they're free to use, even for commercial use. You can download samples on Splice, then make and release original music with those samples, and you don't owe Splice (or anyone else) any more than your subscription fee, even if your track goes viral.

Can I use Splice sounds for commercial use?

Yes. In fact, we can even supply you with documentation in case you ever need to prove that your music is royalty-free and properly licensed. The license for sounds you download from Splice Sounds permits use for commercial and non-commercial purposes so long as you remain in compliance with our Terms of Use.

Is my DAW supported?

Splice Sounds works with any DAW. Download samples and add them directly to your projects using the Splice Sounds Plugin (beta) or the Desktop App. All purchased samples are downloaded locally to your machine in .wav format.

Ableton, Fender Studio Pro, and Pro Tools users should use the Splice direct integrations in their DAWs for the best workflow experience, plus a rotating selection of free sounds for their projects.

For all other DAWs, download the free Splice Sounds Plugin (beta) to search, browse, and preview samples in your project's key and tempo. Then, subscribe to download sounds or create Variations.

How do Sounds credits work?

Use credits to download your favorite samples, loops, one-shots, presets, MIDI & more. All samples are one credit each. MIDI patterns and presets use up to three credits each. Unused credits automatically roll over to the next month. Keep everything you download, even if you cancel.

With our DAW integration plans for Ableton Live, Fender Studio Pro, and Pro Tools, you can license up to 100 individual samples per day by simply dragging and dropping the samples into your project. Once licensed, samples live in your Library, and you can download them at any time.
