Ghost Notes

Ghost Notes is a collaboration with producer and multi-instrumentalist Florian Fourlin, expanding on the distinctive saxophone textures first heard in Liminal Hotel. Inspired by the expressive, left-field playing of artists like Sam Gendel, this collection explores the saxophone as a source of colour, movement and atmosphere as much as melody. Full of soft, intimate tones shaped with tape echo, distortion and spacious reverbs, alongside decorative trills, pitch-shifted textures and evolving performances that come alive on the modwheel. From subtle embellishments to abstract, expressive layers, Ghost Notes is built for modern production, ambient composition and anyone looking to push the saxophone beyond its traditional role.
