Boombox FM

Boombox FM is a collaboration with sound designer and electronic artist Robinson’s Village, built around a simple idea taken to its limits. A range of synth pads, keys and sound design patches were fed through an old boombox speaker via a Bluetooth receiver, capturing all the grit, distortion and unpredictability of the signal chain. The result is a lo-fi, unstable sound world filled with radio static, degraded tones and fragments of chatter that drift in and out of focus. It’s textured, imperfect and full of character. Perfect for sound designers, experimental producers and anyone looking to push their palette into stranger territory, Boombox FM brings a raw, off-grid energy to your music.
