How to make beat videos that go viral

Are you looking to make a career out of beat making?

If so, self promotion and social media strategy can become additional key skills that you might want to develop alongside those like composition, mixing, and sound design.

In the video above, expert music producer and content creator Issac Duarte returned to the Splice YouTube channel to showcase how to create effective and replicable beat videos that actually get views and engagement. In addition to walking through the video production process, he also shares posting schedule tips, captioning ideas, additional tools to consider, and more.

“The benefit of making this kind of content is it builds your brand and online face card,” Duarte says. “The old method of screen recording the waveform with the beat playing in the background is ancient, and nobody’s stopping to watch that unless you’re blessed by the algorithm gods. Another benefit is it builds a community, which can help you find other artists and other creatives so that you can collaborate and get more opportunities together. It also helps a wider audience see your work.”
