Dylan Wood

Dylan Wood has played, recorded, and produced music for over 20 years. Born to a musical family in Long Beach, the multi-instrumentalist began experimenting with bedroom recording at the age of 12. He has been a touring musician throughout his life, mainly as a drummer. He still resides in Long Beach, playing music with his friends and working on sound design and production for Splice with an emphasis on indie genres. His main project Very Crush features his best friend Elise Ewoldt, who was his co-creator on Dream Pop.

Gender equity and accessibility in music production are his passions. Inside the studio, you can catch Dylan lecturing, running workshops, or mentoring new engineers. Outside of the studio, he loves to swim and craft. You can hear Dylan’s playing and production on Sample Magic’s Dream Pop, Bedroom Pop, and Tape & Vinyl Drums.
