Contrast Choir pushes the boundaries of what a choir can be. Curated by Grammy-winning composer and conductor Eric Whitacre, and performed by 19 world-class singers at AIR Studios, this collection explores the voice as a shifting, living texture, moving between harmony and chaos in real time. At its core are two standout preset styles: Converge and Diverge. Converge begins in dissonance, slowly bending and resolving into pitch. Diverge does the opposite, starting in tune, then pulling apart into atonal, unsettling textures. These evolving performances create tension and release in entirely new ways, making them perfect for sci-fi, horror, and psychological drama. With rich tone, evolving dynamics, and deeply human unpredictability, Contrast Choir offers a powerful toolkit for composers looking to step outside the traditional choral sound and into something stranger, darker, and more alive.
