Aspyer on Emotion, Energy, and His New Sample Pack

Aspyer has carved out a reputation as one of progressive house’s most forward-thinking producers, blending orchestral emotion with festival-ready energy. With major releases on STMPD RCRDS and anthems like Symphony played on the world’s biggest stages, his music has connected with audiences everywhere. Now, through his new sample pack Aspyer Progressive House with Dropgun Samples, he’s opening up his creative world—giving producers the tools, textures, and melodies that define his sound.

Q: Tell us about yourself – what led you to production and creating samples?

A: My journey into music production started with a genuine love for sound. From a young age, I was fascinated by melodies, rhythms, and how music could evoke deep emotions. I began experimenting with different genres, playing instruments, writing music, and learning how to work in digital audio workstations. Over time, I realized that music was more than just a hobby — it was a way to express feelings and ideas that I couldn’t always put into words.

As I dove deeper into production, I became especially drawn to sound design and textures — how you can take a basic sound and transform it into something completely unique. Creating my own samples became a natural extension of this passion. I wanted to share the sounds I had been crafting, the ones that reflect my taste and experience. I believe that with the right samples, producers can find inspiration more easily and create something truly beautiful. My goal has always been to contribute to the creative process of others, not just by providing sounds, but by offering a piece of my musical identity.

Q: What inspired the sounds included in this sample pack?

A: The inspiration behind this sample pack came from some of my best melodic works within this genre that I’ve created over the past few years. These sounds carry with them fragments of personal stories, emotions, and even moments of spontaneity. Sometimes a melody would come to me during a walk, on a trip, or even in a dream — and I would rush to capture it before it disappeared.

I’ve also drawn influence from a mix of classic harmonies and modern production trends, trying to strike a balance between familiarity and innovation. This pack isn’t just a collection of loops and one-shots — it’s a kind of sonic journal. Each sound is tied to a particular vibe or idea that inspired me during the creative process. I wanted every element to have a certain feeling — whether it’s warmth, melancholy, tension, or calm — so that anyone who uses these sounds can instantly connect with that emotion and build something of their own around it.

Q: What do you hope the Splice community will do with your sounds?

A: I hope the Splice community will use these sounds as a starting point for their own creative journeys. Whether it’s crafting an entire track around a single loop or flipping a sample into something completely unexpected, I want these sounds to serve as tools for exploration and self-expression.

What excites me most is the idea that someone might take a melody or texture I created and turn it into something I never could have imagined. That’s the beauty of sample sharing — it creates a kind of collaboration across space and time. I encourage producers to experiment, break genre boundaries, and let the sounds lead them somewhere new. Whether it ends up in a pop song, an experimental beat, a film score, or even just as inspiration for a future idea, I’d love to see these sounds used in as many creative contexts as possible.

Q: Do you have any advice for other musicians who are striving to move into the world of sample creation?

A: My main advice is: don’t be afraid to share your ideas and experiment. A lot of new producers hesitate to release their own samples because they think they’re not “good enough.” But every sound has value — especially if it’s made with intention and care. What feels ordinary to you might be exactly what someone else needs to break through a creative block.
Try to think about what helped you when you were stuck in a track — maybe it was a particular chord progression, a sound texture, or a drum groove. Focus on creating samples that could provide that same spark for someone else. Samples aren’t just bits of audio — they’re creative triggers.
Also, stay curious. Keep learning new techniques, explore different plugins, try analog gear, or even record everyday sounds around you. The more diverse your sound vocabulary becomes, the richer your sample library will be.

With Aspyer Progressive House, Aspyer isn’t just sharing sounds—he’s sharing sparks of inspiration meant to fuel new ideas across genres and styles. Whether you’re looking to capture euphoric festival moments or add emotional depth to your productions, this pack delivers a palette shaped by one of dance music’s most melodic storytellers. For Aspyer, the goal is simple: to help producers everywhere turn imagination into music that lasts.
