Sound of Rooms is a universe of senses, created by the artistic fusion of co-producers Nahuel Bronzini (2-time Grammy Winner—Fantastic Negrito, Cigarbox Man) and Felipe Ubeda (lead singer/guitarist and founding member of Cigarbox Man).
From Berkeley, CA, in the heart of the Bay Area, Nahuel and Felipe carefully crafted the sound of this sample pack, taking inspiration from the flavors of the Chilean and Argentinean Andes, their love for film, and experimental cuisine.
They used traditional instruments like acoustic and electric guitars, bass, Hammond organ, Wurlitzer, and ocarina and expanded their sonic possibilities with experimental use of pedals and sound design in post.
They also used a collection of objects and furniture from their home to create percussion and synth-like textures. A couch side rail was the core element they recorded for most of the kick sounds, and book pages and wine cups with water pouring and tapping on all sorts of surfaces were the foundation for most of the percussion found in this pack.
This sound collection takes us from the rhythms and moods of Valparaiso, Buenos Aires, and Rio de Janeiro to the sounds inspired by mezcal, gin, and pisco.
