Players can also fly up in the air to get an aerial view of the surrounding landscape.<br/></p><br/><p><br/> Players can now enter virtual reality with the game being launched for the Oculus Rift.<br/></p><br/><p><br/> Joshua Blair, digital learning coordinator at the museum said: 'The very first map of the Great Fire 1666 series has allowed us to fully immerse players in the history and culture of London in 1666, re-creating the narrow streets, wooden buildings and iconic landmarks such as St Paul's Cathedral and London Bridge to set the scene for the fire.'<br/></p><br/><p><br/> He added: 'This second map is where the Great Fire story really unfolds and we hope that players will take pleasure in exploring this watershed moment in the history of London in a fun and enjoyable way.'<br/></p><br/><p><br/> According to its creators the mini-games attract historical figures like King Charles II, Thomas Farriner (whose bakery caused the fire) and Samuel Pepys (a famous diarist who wrote about the fire).<br/></p><br/><p><br/> The museum's Great Fire 1666 exhibit which is on display until April 2017, features the game.<br/></p><br/><p><br/> The new maps will be available to download on Mac and PC beginning on September 2nd.<br/></p>
