The game will be available on Xbox One, PS4 or Vita in August. The Vita version of the game is cross-buy compatible and free for players who have the PS3 version. Xbox One and PS4 owners who own the game on Xbox 360 or PS3 will be able to download the new-gen versions for $5.<br/></p><br/><p><br/> The alpha version of Minecraft was released in May 2009.
