With Collections, you can easily access your favorite sounds directly from Splice Desktop.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Collections are a music maker\u2019s best friend, allowing you to file your samples in any way you choose, with your own titles and grouping\u2014just like a playlist on Spotify. You can also use Splice’s curated Collections to dive into the Sounds catalog in new and exciting ways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this article, we walk through how you can build and use your own Collections, and share some of our own Collections and Free Sounds<\/em> offerings.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Collection is a feature in Splice Sounds<\/a> for gathering samples\u2014both one-shots and loops\u2014to use in any future project. They can be used to group and sort your favorite sounds on Splice, allowing you to stay organized and focused on making music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to use Splice Collections<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To make a new Collection, simply hit the ‘+’ icon under the Collections tab. From there, sort your samples and label your Collections by mood, instrument, feeling\u2014whatever fits the way you work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For example, you can gather all the punchy kicks that define your unique sound in one Collection. Or, save sounds with a similar feel\u2014i.e. vintage, jazzy, ambient, distorted\u2014from a variety of instruments like guitars, drums, and synths in one Collection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where to find your Collections<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Collections are available on both the Splice web and Splice Desktop. Whether you\u2019ve already saved a sound from the web or found one you like from a search on the app, you can drag and drop it directly into a Collection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
