This will make the drums a little boomier and fill out some of the higher frequencies.<\/p>\n<p>One of MOVEMENT\u2019s greatest features is the<strong> XY Pad<\/strong>. You can map any parameter to the XY Pad by right-clicking on the parameter and selecting<strong> \u201cAssign to XY Control.\u201d<\/strong> All<strong> engine A<\/strong> parameters are mappable to the y-axis, and all<strong> engine B<\/strong> parameters are mappable to the x-axis.<\/p>\n<p>You can adjust the range of the XY Pad using the <strong>XY Slider<\/strong> (see below):<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-4839 aligncenter lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/splice.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/Drums-2-XY-Control-1gif.gif\" alt=\"output-movement-drums-02\" width=\"726\" height=\"590\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 726px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 726\/590;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Navigate to <strong>engine B<\/strong> and click on the filter module. Invert the XY slider&#8217;s range by right-clicking on the <strong>cutoff<\/strong> and selecting <strong>\u201cEdit XY Control.\u201d<\/strong> Click and drag the range upwards to increase it &#8211; this will make the filter more obvious when manipulating it via the XY Pad.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-4840 aligncenter lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/splice.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/Drums-3-X-Y-Range.gif\" alt=\"output-movement-drums-03\" width=\"538\" height=\"160\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 538px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 538\/160;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Lastly, try automating the XY Pad to create different motions and energies in your drum pattern.
