Join us as she walks through her compact but versatile music workstation, vocal recording setup, and the rare synths and hardware she&#8217;s collected over the years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What&#8217;s perhaps most fascinating about her sun-drenched space is that it&#8217;s a creative hub, not just a music studio\u2014whether she&#8217;s working on her newest album, shooting video content, <a href=\"https:\/\/splice.com\/blog\/how-to-make-sell-merch-as-an-artist\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">creating merch,<\/a> or even hand-sewing her looks for her shows, Yaeji can do it all from her Brooklyn HQ. It&#8217;s a limitless space that pushes the boundaries of a music studio and redefines what it means to be creative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;I feel like at the root of how I make music, it&#8217;s all still so spontaneous,&#8221; Yaeji tells us. &#8220;It&#8217;s still, &#8216;How am I feeling today?&#8217; I rarely come in with an idea or a melody I&#8217;m humming ahead of time. I&#8217;m just more familiar with everything\u2014like, everything feels way smoother and faster once I have an idea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;I don&#8217;t use Maschine anymore, but I have other plugins I like to go for drums. I&#8217;ve also just been sampling and chopping up drums more, which is why I use <a href=\"https:\/\/splice.com\/sounds\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Splice.<\/a> So, that&#8217;s a bigger difference\u2014the ease and comfort and speed of the workflow.
