The Splice product team is excited to announce a new feature in the desktop app: you can now browse, preview, and download sounds from the Splice Sounds library<\/a> straight from your Splice app. Before, the search function in the desktop app only allowed you to search your previously downloaded sounds. This was fine if you already had the sound you needed. But if you didn\u2019t, you would have to log into the website to find new sounds. Now, you can see and download new samples right in the app.<\/p>\n

To see it for yourself, start a search from the Sounds tab in your Splice desktop application. The first results you see are matching samples from your existing collection, as you\u2019re accustomed to seeing. But as of today, right underneath, you\u2019ll also see samples that match your search from our expansive library of over a million sounds. If you hadn\u2019t already downloaded the sound you need, you can now browse, preview, and download sounds from the rest of the Splice Sounds library right from your desktop app.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s not all: you can now click on sample pack names in the app to open that pack — in the app. No more switching back and forth between your desktop app and the Splice website. You can even use filters, just as you can on the web, to further filter your results. If you don\u2019t see something you like, you can refresh the list to see more samples.<\/p>\n

We know that a smooth workflow is a really important part of making music. We\u2019re always striving to develop features that help keep you \u201cin the zone\u201d as much as possible. The new features we released today are a huge step forward in creating a sample-search experience that doesn\u2019t disrupt your flow.<\/p>\n
