When we first launched Create mode, there were 12 styles that could be used to start or flip a Stack\u2014these included Hit Hop, Night Rave, and Retro Synth. But, the feedback we received from users told us that more recognizable starting points would be more inspiring. So, now you\u2019ll find genres such as House, Pop, and Trap instead. There are still millions of sounds, almost infinite musical combinations, and a multitude of adjacent genres and styles accessible. But, with this improvement, we hope that more certainty around your starting points will help you create with more confidence. <a href=\"https:\/\/splice.com\/sounds\/create\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Try Create mode on the web for free.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" data-src=\"https:\/\/splice.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/1223-New-on-Splice-inline-image-02.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-30163 lazyload\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 1200px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 1200\/800;\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Export your Stack as a stereo .wav file<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Since we launched Create mode in June 2023, we have been steadily adding Export options\u2014you can export modified stems or original unmodified samples, and you can export to Ableton Live and Studio One. Now, with the latest of our export options, you can save a single, stereo .wav file of your Stack, so you can share with friends and even use it on social media from a mobile device. For the first time, you don\u2019t need a DAW to turn your Stacks into a .wav file. First, load the Bridge plugin on a MIDI channel in your DAW, and then open Splice Desktop. Your Stacks will play at the same tempo as your DAW. This is a huge creative unlock; now you can build Stacks on top of existing tracks, using our AI-powered sounds discovery tech. Not using the free Splice Bridge plugin? <a href=\"https:\/\/support.splice.com\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/1500005170042-How-Do-I-Use-Splice-Bridge-#:~:text=To%20use%20Bridge%20in%20your,the%20tempo%20of%20your%20project.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Find out how to get started with it.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Heads up: Bridge doesn\u2019t yet match Stacks with the key of your DAW session\u2014like it does with individual sounds\u2014so you may experience some harmonic clashes if your Stack is in a different key to your DAW project. To avoid these, we recommend working with samples that are in key with the project in your DAW before creating a Stack through Bridge. We\u2019re working to improve this functionality in a later update. <a href=\"https:\/\/support.splice.com\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/24032524332819\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Read more about Stacks in Bridge in this knowledgebase article.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Find the right sounds quicker with exclude tags and expanded search<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You might have seen a new red \u2018minus\u2019 icon on the tags that show up when searching on <a href=\"https:\/\/splice.com\/features\/sounds\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Splice Sounds.<\/a> This is our exclude tag feature, which lets you filter out sounds with a certain tag. Say you&#8217;re searching for EDM risers, but you don\u2019t want to see results tagged with \u201ctearout dubstep\u201d\u2014now this is possible. This helps you get to the sound you need quicker, and keeps your creative momentum up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019ve also enhanced our search functionality to serve up more than just one-for-one matches. For example, if you search for samples using the word &#8220;turntable,&#8221; Splice will now include results for things like &#8220;scratch&#8221; and &#8220;needle.&#8221; We\u2019re hopeful that this improvement helps expand the range of relevant sounds in your search, so you can choose sounds from every corner of the catalog.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">New login options<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019re always striving to make your ride through the Splice experience smoother and more creatively empowering. So, we\u2019ve added more options to make it easier for you to sign up and log in to Splice. Now you don\u2019t have to remember a separate set of credentials, and can login via Apple, Google, or Facebook (you must have an email address attached to your Facebook account to use Facebook).
