His collaborators include the likes of Karan Aujla, Shubh, Gurnam Bhullar, and Tory Lanez.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure><iframe src=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/embed\/track\/0YQJoDL6f46J0n1rOVkpxJ?si=94c1f3b85e9f4372\" width=\"100%\" height=\"80\" frameborder=\"0\" allowtransparency=\"true\" allow=\"encrypted-media\"><\/iframe><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Ikky kicks off his track by arranging a series of curated one-shots from Splice in the DAW. Her music blends introspective timbres with emotive vocals and a tugging sense of lyricism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure><iframe src=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/embed\/track\/3W0rPr2uK1rhLX3nystRmI?si=ddd7dbf635854858\" width=\"100%\" height=\"80\" frameborder=\"0\" allowtransparency=\"true\" allow=\"encrypted-media\"><\/iframe><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;I immediately called my mom to ask what her favorite Tamil songs were,&#8221; Chitra says. &#8220;She explained to me the history of the late Tamil poet, Bharathiyar, who famously wrote about the fight for India\u2019s independence from colonial rule. I chose &#8216;Parukulle Nalla Nadu&#8217; from his extensive work because it details how beautiful, strong, wealthy, and worthy of independence India was. Bharathiyar\u2019s poems were put to song by the incredible Carnatic vocalist Sudha Ragunathan, which is who I am sampling.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;I decided to name this track &#8216;Kavya&#8217; because the word itself translates to &#8216;poetry&#8217; in Sanskrit, and the phrase &#8216;Chitra-kavya&#8217; translates to &#8216;picture-poetry,&#8217; which is an ancient Indian tradition of writing illustrative poetry\u2014making it all the more relevant when dialoging what legacy means to me.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/C0SRdN_Pc4h\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Watch Chitra&#8217;s process and hear her resulting track here,<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/splice.com\/sounds\/collections\/IbAjvI455oAo68dzftPNRhOcXjM%20\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">get the samples she used here.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Leo Kalyan leans into his inspirations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>London-based artist Leo Kalyan&#8217;s sound is one-of-a-kind\u2014his soulful vocals and poetic lyrics are infused with his training in classical Indian music, and mesh seamlessly with his self-produced R&amp;B beats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure><iframe src=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/embed\/track\/7bTd4HVbRmerYS9eBxZLjj?si=f19cd0c035ef47fb\" width=\"100%\" height=\"80\" frameborder=\"0\" allowtransparency=\"true\" allow=\"encrypted-media\"><\/iframe><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;I wanted to show you how I find inspiration, using a Collection of sounds I found on Splice,&#8221; Leo shares.
