Production phenom Native Wave (Andrew Iovino) propelled into distinction in 2016 with his debut project, Mike Lembo’s Subourbon Mindset. The album, on which Native Wave produced 13 of 15 tracks, instantly turned heads – including those in Times Square, NYC, where it received billboard recognition. With 14.5k views for the Welcome music video in its first week, and 80k full-album SoundCloud plays in just two months, Native Wave garnered support from various media giants including MTV, Yahoo!, CBS, ABC, Fortune, and NBC. While Native Wave specializes in electronic music production and sound composition for visual media, no project exceeds his scope of interest and innate musical ability. With appreciation for an eclectic array of genres, from synth-pop to hip-hop to reggae, Native Wave draws on numerous influences to consistently create a multi-dimensional, unique, and compelling listening experience. Before honing in on sound design, Native Wave trained as a guitarist and worked with various bands in his hometown of Long Island, New York. After experimenting with some of his own musical ideas on the side, he uncovered a passion and natural aptitude for music production. Native Wave developed his craft as part of electro-rock duo, This Damn Universe, before moving on to fully dedicate his time to production endeavors. Today, Native Wave is eagerly anticipating his first international tour, which stops in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Russia. He looks forward to making an impact around the world, “I want people to feel the music I make as much as I do, myself. Whether they love it or hate it, it doesn’t matter - love and hate are emotions, and that’s all I look to receive.”
